HMAS Darwin was decommissioned in Sydney on 9 December 2017, after 33 years’ service to the Royal Australian Navy. Since commissioning in 1984, the Adelaide Class frigate visited more than 50 countries, steamed over a million nautical miles and been involved in operations in the Middle East seven times, East Timor, and the Solomon Islands.
